How to Move Songs from Your iPod Library to Your iTunes Library?

Q: All my songs are on my iPod but not in my actual iTunes library and I was wondering how do you move songs from your iPod library to your iTunes library? I've tried copy and paste, and if I'm supposed to import/export what file do I look under? Thanks you.
