How to Get Songs off iPod onto Computer?

For quite some time I hoped for a way to share my iPod music with friends on other computers than my own.

I came across an interesting article that went into great detail about how to use your iPod as a storage device or other drive. This turned out to be disastrous.

Step 1: Run software, connect iPod

Connect your iPod to your PC. Normally, iTunes will be auto-run first. In iTunes, make sure that "Enable disk use" has been checked in the iPod Options. Run iPod Transfer. It will auto-scan the iPod on your PC. If the iPod is enabled, the files music will be shown in the list.

Step 2: Select music on iPod

From this list, you can now select and checkmark the music you want to transfer to computer.

Step 3: Click Export to computer
